Lee Swank - Legacy Director

Lee has experience serving in a variety of ministry capacities. His love for Christ began in a christian home with his parents Roger and Janet Swank. This was ignited into a love relationship with God at Camp Hickory in Round Lake Illinois where he would later serve as Camp Speaker, Program Director and Counselor.

The Navigators Campus Ministry, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Christian Youth Center in Joliet, Il and Bethel Baptist in Joliet helped begin a life of service.

Lee founded the Roaring Twenties College and Career ministry in Joliet and served for a total of ten years. Roaring Twenties expanded into the Rockford and Orland Park areas as well during that time. Lee directed the Ironworks youth ministry during those same years as well as participating in a Chicago area youth ministers planning committee that produce dozens of large youth events throughout the midwest.

Lee's life was shaped by his father legendary coach Roger Swank. He was also greatly influenced by the lives and ministries of fellow youth workers, Jeff Honson, Dwight Dally, Rusty Lyons, NFL great Tom Landry, Hall of Famer Mike Singletary of the Chicago Bears and world renown author and speaker Robert Lewis. Landry was very active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Singletary was active with Bill Glass Prison Ministries. Lee had the honor of doing counseling at Stateville Maximum Security Prison at that time. Lee also shared the stage with Robert Lewis and Raleigh Washington during Lee's years of ministry to men. Lewis is the author of many resources including Raising a Modern Day Knight and The Quest for Authentic Manhood. Dr. Raleigh Washington at the time was Vice-President of the Promise Keepers worldwide men's ministry.

Lee has over forty years of writing devotions and speaking at camps, retreats, youth rallys and sports ministries. He has experience building baseball diamonds, soccer fields and football fields. His own sports experiences include years of wrestling, baseball and track.

Lee has directed Modern Day Knights, CYC Sports, The Ironworks, Roaring Twenties, Legacy Sports and Legacy Families Orphan Ministry. He feels God's pleasure when he is speaking to others about God's love and also spending time with his family. Two of his favorite identities are daddy and papi. He and his wife (Chris) have six children, Zackary Van, Allison Christine, Micah Lee, Jacob Lee, Taylor Christine and Caleb Lee. Lee enjoys working with kids and feels called to being a witness of God's love. Lee is also a full-time teacher in an inner-city school where he feels called to teach in a building with over 3500 students.
